Overview

BEEP Akihabara, a specialty shop for retro games and retro PCs, will temporarily end operations at its current location on May 17, 2026.

The current shop is located in the basement of the Chuei Building at 3-9-8 Sotokanda, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo. After about ten and a half years since opening in October 2015, the shop will temporarily close because the building is being demolished and the store is preparing to move.

Highlights

The new location is in SEEKBASE AKI-OKA MANUFACTURE Building 3, across from the Kanda Fire Station. Hermitage Akihabara reports that it will occupy the former SOZO BOX space, and signage has already been installed at the new site.

BEEP Akihabara's official blog says that from May 18 onward, all sales, buying, repairs, and inquiries will be paused until the new store opens. In-store buying closes at 15:00 from May 11 to May 16, and is suspended all day on the final day, May 17.
