Overview
To commemorate the 40th anniversary of Taito's action game series "Bubble Bobble" in September 2026, the "Bubble Bobble 40th Anniversary Festival in Taito Station" event begins August 22, 2026, at participating Taito Station locations nationwide. In Akihabara, it will be held at Taito Station Akihabara Higashi-Nishi Passage on Sunday, September 20.
Highlights
During the event period, the game's mascot Bub visits participating Taito Station locations nationwide every weekend. At the Akihabara venue, Bub appears on September 20, alongside a Taito-exclusive "Bub & Bob Wink Ver." plush prize and special Bubble Bobble-themed crepes.
Details of the special event at EXBAR TOKYO plus Akihabara, next to Taito Station Akihabara Higashi-Nishi Passage, have now been announced:
- Hands-on play of "Bubble Bobble Sugar Dungeon Boost," "Bubble Bobble 4 Friends: Skull Monster's Revenge," and the upcoming "Rainbow★Parasol Collection" (releasing October 8)
- A Bub & Bob-themed collaboration drink for ¥700
- A free "MEICA" maze card for anyone spending ¥500 or more at the food counter (distributed while supplies last, even after the event)
- A limited "Bubble Bobble 40th Anniversary Pin Badge Set" (¥4,950) sold in-store at Pico Crepe Akihabara Higashi-Nishi Passage on September 20 only, with online sales starting the same day
- A Taito-exclusive "Bub & Bob Wink Ver." plush prize appearing at Taito Station Akihabara Higashi-Nishi Passage and nearby Hey2, with a random Bubble Bobble pin badge (6 types) for every ¥500 played (August 22–September 23, ¥850)
