Overview
To mark the first anniversary of Makoto Yukimura's historical manga "Vinland Saga" completing its serialization, the "Vinland Saga Pop-Up Shop" will run from July 10 to August 2, 2026. A talk event celebrating the pop-up will be held on July 11, 2026 at Ochanova in Ochanomizu.
The event is hosted by Shosen, featuring creator Makoto Yukimura and Professor Minoru Ozawa of Rikkyo University's Department of History, a specialist in Western medieval and Nordic history.
Highlights
The talk will explore the Viking Age, the setting of "Vinland Saga," from both the creator's and a historian's perspective. Ozawa is the lead editor of "Viking Anatomical Illustration" and served as a historical advisor for the "Vinland Saga" anime.
A mini signing session follows the talk. Only books purchased at the venue are eligible for signing; outside books cannot be brought in.
