Multiple new shops are arriving in Akihabara in June-July 2026: CardKingdom Akihabara Eki-mae 2nd Store has already opened at Akihabara Denpa Kaikan 1F (former Tanaka Musen site); Shinso opens a card buy-only store on Shohei-bashi-dori on July 1; a new FamilyMart opens at Ratiera Akihabara 1F on July 8.
A trial session and mini tournament for the trading card game NEXUS: The Fave Card Game was held at Toreca Lounge in Akihabara on June 5, 2026. Producer Hara also joined the event, which included trial sessions, free play, and a mini tournament.

Trading card shop Shinsoku has published its Akihabara Unification Plan, with multiple Akihabara-area openings from May to September 2026. Plans include a buyback center in early June, a fifth store in early July, a sixth store in early August, and a seventh store in early September.
