Overview
The Kanda Curry Street Revitalization Committee (Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; Chairman Takuya Nakamata) will hold the 13th edition of its curry-shop-hopping event, "Kanda Curry Street Walking Stamp Rally 2026," from August 1 (Sat) to December 20 (Sun), 2026. The Kanda, Jimbocho, Ochanomizu, and Ogawamachi area is home to more than 400 curry shops, and the annual event aims to foster community exchange and support local restaurants.
Highlights
Participants can join using the free "Kanda Curry Street Official Guidebook 2026" (85,000 copies, A5 portrait), distributed from late July, or the shop list on the official Kanda Curry Grand Prix website, eating curry at participating shops and collecting stamps on a paper sheet or via the smartphone version.
- Participating shops: a record 152 shops
- Stamp points: curry shops plus bookstores in Jimbocho, JR and Tokyo Metro stations, mAAch ecute, and more (42+ points total)
- Rewards: a "Kanda Curry Meister Award" graded by the number of stamps collected
- Collaboration: Chiyoda Tourism Ambassador "Rilakkuma" returns, joined by the Ultraman series marking its 60th broadcast anniversary. Eating curry at a participating shop earns an "Ultraman Series 60th Anniversary novelty" (32 designs, first 250 per shop)
- 10 stamps earn a "Kanda Curry Buddy Award" (Rilakkuma-design card); completing the rally earns the Kanda Curry Meister Award card
- Official Kanda Curry Grand Prix x Ultraman Series 60th anniversary collaboration goods will be sold at Shosen and other shops during the event
- Guidebook distribution begins around July 27 (varies by location; Tokyo Metro stations from August 1)
