Overview
The family-oriented reuse experience event "August 8 Reuse Day: Connecting Smiles to the Power of the Future" will be held at Akiba Square on August 7 and 8, 2026.
Following the 2025 edition, this second event lets children learn about reuse and the circular economy through hands-on activities.
Highlights
The event is organized by the 2026 August 8 Reuse Day executive committee. It is aimed at elementary school students and their guardians, with grades 3 to 6 recommended. Participation is free and planned as an advance-reservation event.
The PR TIMES announcement notes that the 2025 event featured booths from six reuse companies and welcomed 259 children and 555 visitors including guardians. For 2026, the event returns to Akiba Square for two days, and participating companies and organizations are also being recruited.
WalkerPlus introduces the event as including workshops by reuse companies and content where participants can enjoy learning about a circular society.
