Overview
The workshop "Let's Make a Smartphone Pochette with Sparkling Zippers!" will be held on May 2, 2026, at Monodzukuri-kan by YKK. Morning session: 10:00–11:30; Afternoon session: 13:00–14:30.
The venue is the 4th floor of YKK Izumi Building near Akihabara Station. The participation fee is ¥1,800 (tax included), with a limit of 6 participants per session on a reservation-only basis. Registration via PassMarket has been listed as closed.
Highlights
Participants will use sparkling zippers to make a pochette perfectly sized for a smartphone. The zippers used include "Aurora Light" — with elements that shimmer like aurora — and metallic coil, a resin-based zipper that shines like metal.
Participants will sew together 2.5 meters of zipper to form the body and finish the strap with zipper as well. Element color options include gold, silver, copper, white, light blue, and purple (6 choices). The bag body size is approximately 22cm tall x 13cm wide, with an adjustable strap length.
Since the workshop uses a sewing machine, it is open to 4th grade elementary school students and above. Elementary school students must be accompanied by a guardian who will create together with them. Cancellations are not accepted once materials preparation has begun.
