Overview
Infinia Corporation, which operates the maid cafe brand "At-Home Cafe," announced that four of its maids took part in a Manseibashi Police Station program combining a women's crime-prevention class with a campaign against groping and related crimes.
The initiative brings together local facilities, shops, and police to prevent crimes targeting women and raise crime-prevention awareness in the area.
Highlights
In the class, Manseibashi Police Station Chief Noriaki Toyota explained where and when crimes such as voyeurism and groping commonly occur, along with prevention tips. In the self-defense session that followed, officers directly taught participants how to break free if grabbed forcefully by the arm.
Finally, the group held a street awareness activity at Akihabara Station's Electric Town Exit. The participating maids handed out wet tissues printed with a QR code for the Metropolitan Police's "Digi Police" crime-prevention app, calling for an end to groping.
