Overview
Robostadion, an Akihabara-based maker space and robot battle hub, will host "REK TOKYO 2026," the Japan debut of the US robot combat league REK, on July 25, 2026 (Sat) at Belle Salle Akihabara B1F. Real pilots will operate full-scale humanoid robots in full-contact combat inside an octagonal cage — Japan's first robot battle show.

REK is a US-based robot combat league with a track record of events in New York, Los Angeles, and San Francisco, and has even showcased matches at the offices of OpenAI and xAI. This marks its first show in Japan, held in Akihabara, seen as a hub of cutting-edge robot technology.
The daytime session (10:00-18:00) is free and includes exhibits and demos of the latest robots from corporate booths, engineer recruitment matchmaking, and free exhibition matches. The evening session hosts the paid main bouts, with tickets ranging from a 20,000 yen front-row VIP seat to a 3,000 yen standing spot (capacity approximately 350).
Organizer Robostadion also hosted Japan's first outdoor robot event, "Akihabara Robot Hokoten 2026" (supported by Chiyoda City), in April 2026, where more than 30 robots paraded through Akihabara UDX and drew coverage from overseas media.
