Star Kebab Takeaway Akihabara Main Store, a doner kebab sandwich shop in Akihabara, closed in June 2026, and a new kebab shop, "UZ KEBAB," has opened on the site (1-8-10 Sotokanda, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo).

Star Kebab, which opened in 1999, temporarily closed all locations in February 2023 amid the effects of the pandemic, but reopened the following month after a strong response from customers and other quarters. UZ KEBAB, which opened on the former site, is known for budget-friendly pricing, offering a kebab sandwich for 390 yen, a kebab wrap for 600 yen, a kebab bowl for 600 yen, kebab snacks for 600 yen, and a kebab bento for 800 yen, with a choice of five sauces.
